Amadeus partners with Hilton on new API for faster connectivity
Amadeus becomes the first GDS provider to integrate Hilton’s own API for faster content distribution. The collaboration aims to enhance the hotel chain's sales opportunities.

Travel technology company Amadeus has partnered with the Hilton hotel chain to integrate a new Application Programming Interface (API). This interface enables faster and more advanced connectivity between Hilton and the Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS).
Amadeus is the first GDS provider to directly integrate with Hilton’s proprietary API. The new technological collaboration is designed to enhance hotels' ability to distribute their inventory and rates more efficiently through the global distribution network, thereby increasing visibility for Hilton properties among potential travelers and travel agents.
The integration is expected to accelerate the deployment of new features and enable better scalability for Hilton's operations. Furthermore, the API is anticipated to improve the customer experience by providing travelers and travel agencies with more precise information, such as cancellation policies and meal plan details, earlier in the booking process.
Amadeus has previously utilized multiple APIs, but this new integration seeks to streamline connections and ensure content reliability and timeliness. Hilton's Vice President of Partnership Development & Global Distribution, Oral Muir, highlighted the goal of creating a more frictionless travel experience and leveraging the latest technological innovations to improve hotel performance.
