Amadeus, TAI, and Edgewater to Explore Airport Modernization in Thailand
Thai Aviation Industries, Edgewater Solutions, and Amadeus have signed an MOU to explore modernizing six Thai airports, focusing on enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency.

Thai Aviation Industries (TAI), Edgewater Solutions Limited, and Amadeus have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on a roadmap for modernizing passenger processing and day-to-day operations across six of Thailand's international and regional airports.
The initiative aims to improve the passenger journey and operational efficiency of airports, supporting Thailand's growing demand for air travel and tourism. The country's airports currently serve approximately 140 million passengers annually, with volumes expected to continue rising.
Through this collaboration, the parties will examine how seamless travel, biometrics, airport operations, and data capabilities can be integrated to streamline the passenger journey and underlying operations. Key areas include faster passenger processing, such as self-service and automated baggage drop, alongside improved identity and border flows using biometrics and e-gates.
Further focus will be placed on smarter airport operations, including a centralized Airport Operational Database (AODB), resource management, and real-time data with platform integration. The objective is to enable faster decision-making and more dynamic airport operations, reinforcing Thailand's position as a leading aviation hub in Southeast Asia.
The collaboration between Amadeus, TAI, and Edgewater seeks to combine technology, data, and partnerships to create the next generation of airport operations. The MOU will now lead to the development of a detailed plan for the deployment of the identified solutions.
