Chinese technology outlet IT Home reports that Amap, also known as Gaode, has introduced a new initiative titled "Global Travel Without Worries in Chinese." This program aims to provide Chinese-language travel services across multiple countries, covering scenarios such as ride-hailing, airport transfers, and car rentals with Chinese support.

The service is now available in over 1,000 cities globally. Features include a Chinese interface, real-time translation capabilities, and payment options for WeChat and Alipay. Customers also have access to 24-hour Chinese customer service. Amap is simultaneously offering summer discounts for overseas travel. The company's English version, AMAP, has also expanded its ride-hailing features to support phone numbers from 65 countries and regions, catering to international visitors in China.

Amap has been progressively expanding its international offerings. In July 2025, its open platform launched the "World Map Service," covering over 200 countries and regions with map, search, location, and navigation services in 56 languages. Additionally, in August 2025, Amap partnered with global ride-hailing platform Bolt to introduce ride-hailing services with Chinese interface and payment convenience in cities across 28 countries.

These expanded services highlight Amap's focus on facilitating international travel for Chinese speakers and integrating Chinese payment methods into global services. The company's international efforts began in 2020 through a partnership with HERE Maps, initially covering East and Southeast Asian countries with navigation for self-driving, walking, and public transport.
