Amazon sent emails to customers on Friday detailing the terms and conditions update. The revised policy includes a clause requiring users to accept arbitration and waive their right to participate in class actions. Continued use of Amazon's services after the update signifies acceptance of these new terms.

Legal analysts suggest this move could substantially reduce Amazon's exposure to costly litigation. Critics, however, argue that the policy may erode consumer rights and their avenues for seeking collective redress.
