Amazon Bedrock Prompt Management now generally available
Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the general availability of Amazon Bedrock Prompt Management. New features enhance prompt configuration and integration for generative AI applications.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the general availability (GA) of its Amazon Bedrock Prompt Management service. The update introduces new features designed to streamline the creation, evaluation, versioning, and sharing of prompts for generative AI applications.
Key capabilities include structured prompts, which allow users to define system instructions, tools, and additional messages. This aims to help developers and prompt engineers optimize the output from foundation models (FMs) for specific use cases by providing more defined parameters.
The service also integrates with Amazon Bedrock's Converse and InvokeModel API calls. This enables direct invocation of cataloged prompts within generative AI applications, simplifying the development workflow and speeding up deployment.
AWS states that Prompt Management is intended to improve the efficiency and manageability of prompts. The company provided an example of summarizing financial documents, suggesting the tool can generate clear and accurate summaries to aid analysis.
