Amazon Contractor Ceases Operations After 120 Workers Laid Off
A Washington-based delivery company, 2EZY, has ceased operations and laid off 120 employees after Amazon, its sole client, terminated their contract with minimal notice.

2EZY, a Washington-based delivery service, has shut down operations and laid off 120 employees following the termination of its contract with Amazon, its only client. The company stated it received only one business day's notice from Amazon, making advance notification to employees impossible.
Amazon, however, contested the claim of a single day's notice, stating that 2EZY was informed of the situation on September 1, providing a 30-day notice period. An Amazon spokesperson indicated the company worked with 2EZY to ensure an orderly wind-down of its operations.
The closure highlights the risks associated with customer concentration for businesses. 2EZY's layoff notice, filed under the WARN Act which typically requires 60 days' advance notice for mass layoffs, affected facilities in Airway Heights, Washington.
Amazon has stated it is working to connect the affected 2EZY employees with other Delivery Service Partners in the area. The Airway Heights facility continues to operate normally, and Amazon expects the customer delivery experience to remain unchanged.
