Amazon Integrates Cloud Gaming Service Luna into Prime Video
Amazon is incorporating its Luna cloud gaming service directly into Prime Video, allowing users to play games alongside movies and TV shows. Select titles are now available on Fire TV devices in the U.S. and U.K.
Amazon announced Thursday it is integrating its Luna cloud gaming service into Prime Video, effectively bringing games to the streaming platform. Titles such as "Hogwarts Legacy," "EA Sports FC 26," and "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" are now accessible on Fire TV devices in the U.S. and U.K.
This move aims to position Prime Video as a comprehensive entertainment destination, mirroring strategies employed by competitors like Netflix, which has also expanded into gaming. Amazon seeks to lower barriers to entry for gaming by making it accessible without requiring expensive consoles or PCs.
The integrated library will feature both third-party games and titles developed by Amazon's own studios, including "Courtroom Chaos" and "Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite." Previously, Luna required a separate app for Prime members.
Amazon stated that new games will be added monthly. The company also intends to expand the game offerings to additional devices and countries in the upcoming months.
