Amazon launches 16-inch Echo Show smart display

Amazon has unveiled the Echo Show 16, a redesigned smart display featuring a 16-inch screen. The device is available for pre-order, with base models priced at $499.99 and a version featuring a Nanomatte display option listed at $569.99.

The new hardware introduces a updated software interface focused on smart home management and calendar organization. Designed to function as a central family hub, the device includes a wall-mount kit as standard equipment, marking a shift in physical design compared to previous iterations of the Echo Show series.

This release positions Amazon against a growing market of smart home control panels. While the company is offering a $100 pre-order discount, the standard retail price places the unit at a higher tier than smaller displays in the existing Echo ecosystem. The device is expected to ship later this year.
