Amazon Launches Bee AI Wearables for Conversation Tasks
Amazon has announced the acquisition of AI startup Bee and the launch of Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse devices, designed to summarize conversations and create to-do items. The move enters the growing market for wearable AI gadgets.

Amazon has introduced new AI-powered wearable devices, Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse, aimed at converting conversations into summaries, reminders, and to-do lists. The e-commerce giant previously announced plans to acquire Bee, a personal AI hardware startup.
The Bee Frontier device can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing and is priced at $74.99. The Bee Eclipse attaches magnetically to a phone and will start at $99.99. Both devices include 14-day memory capabilities and conversation summarization. An optional Bee Pro subscription costs $11.99 per month and offers integrations with services like Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, and Alexa+.
Amazon states that audio data is never stored and that devices feature microphone controls and indicator lights. Users are prompted to obtain consent from participants before initiating recordings, addressing privacy concerns surrounding AI wearables. This approach aims to comply with data privacy regulations and user expectations.
The launch places Amazon in direct competition with other emerging AI hardware products such as Rabbit R1 and Humane's AI Pin, which have also sought to define this nascent hardware category. Amazon's expansion into this market signals its strategy to integrate AI capabilities across its consumer product ecosystem.
