Amazon Launches New "Bee" AI Listening Devices
Amazon has introduced two new "Bee" AI-powered listening devices, the Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse, as it expands its offerings in the AI hardware market.

Amazon unveiled two new "Bee" listening devices on Thursday, signaling its latest push into the artificial intelligence gadget market. These devices are designed to record, transcribe, and analyze conversations.
The new offerings include the Bee Frontier, an upgraded wearable that can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing, and the Bee Eclipse, a credit card-sized voice recorder that magnetically attaches to a smartphone. The Bee Frontier is priced at $75 and features enhanced noise filtering, while the Bee Eclipse costs $100 and will be available soon.
Amazon acquired Bee, a San Francisco-based startup known for its always-listening bracelet, in July 2025. This acquisition marked a significant step in Amazon's AI strategy, and it is the first update to the Bee lineup since the company's purchase.
The Bee devices operate by continuously recording, enabling features such as conversation summaries and the ability to recall past discussions. Amazon states that user data is handled with privacy in mind and that no audio is permanently stored. The devices also include an LED light to indicate when recording is active.
