Amazon offers free Alexa Plus upgrade for Fire TV devices
Amazon is rolling out Alexa Plus, its advanced AI assistant, for free to all U.S. Fire TV device owners starting today. This move expands access to features previously requiring a subscription.

Amazon is making its enhanced AI assistant, Alexa Plus, available at no cost to all U.S. owners of Fire TV devices. The rollout begins immediately.
Previously, access to Alexa Plus on Fire TV required either a Prime subscription or a separate Alexa Plus subscription. The company's decision to offer it universally aims to broaden the adoption of its more conversational AI capabilities.
Alexa Plus provides users with advanced features, including personalized movie recommendations based on mood, the ability to jump to specific scenes within content, and on-screen context-aware questions. These capabilities are designed to offer a more intuitive and interactive viewing experience.
The upgrade will be applied to various Fire TV devices, such as the Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube, as well as smart TVs from partners like Panasonic and Hisense that feature built-in Alexa Plus. This expansion is part of Amazon's strategy to integrate AI more deeply into its consumer hardware.
