Amazon Prime Members Can Save 50 Cents Per Gallon on Gas

Amazon announced that U.S. Amazon Prime members can receive a discount of 50 cents per gallon on a single fuel purchase. The promotion is valid from Thursday, July 2, through Sunday, July 5, at over 7,500 participating gas stations nationwide.

This offer aims to provide some relief to consumers facing elevated fuel prices. As of the announcement, the national average price for gasoline was approximately $3.82 per gallon, according to AAA. This figure is notably higher than the $3.15 average recorded during the July 4th holiday period last year.

To qualify for the discount, individuals must be U.S. Amazon Prime subscribers and create a free BP Earnify account, linking it to their Prime membership. The 50-cent-per-gallon savings apply to one fill-up. Depending on tank size, potential savings range from $5 to $15 per fill.

The discount can be utilized at BP, Amoco, and select ampm and Thorntons locations. Customers are instructed to use the Earnify app or provide their phone number at the pump to redeem the offer. This initiative is timed to assist the millions of Americans who are expected to travel by car during the holiday weekend.
