Amazon quietly updates Fire HD 10 tablet with more RAM, higher price
Amazon has made a quiet update to its 2023 Fire HD 10 tablet, increasing RAM to 4GB for the 32GB model while also raising the price to $154.99.

Amazon has released an updated version of its 2023 Fire HD 10 tablet, with a subtle but significant change for the base model. The 32GB configuration now comes with 4GB of RAM, an upgrade from the previous 3GB. This enhancement comes with a price increase, moving from the original $139.99 to $154.99.
Notably, the 64GB version of the Fire HD 10 retains its 3GB of RAM, creating a discrepancy in memory specifications across storage options. Beyond the RAM increase, the tablet's hardware specifications remain unchanged. It features a 10.1-inch display with a 1920x1200 resolution, a 2GHz octa-core processor, and a battery life lasting up to 13 hours.
The device also supports storage expansion via a microSD card. The newly updated Fire HD 10 is exclusively offered in an ad-supported version, which displays advertisements on the lock screen. Amazon continues to sell the previous 3GB RAM model at its original $139.99 price point, though its availability may be limited.
This update suggests Amazon is looking to improve the performance of its entry-level tablet, potentially to better compete in the budget tablet market or to enhance the user experience for common tasks.
