Amcor has begun an expansion project at its flexible packaging solutions facility in Dongguan, China. The expansion will increase production capacity and enhance supply chain resilience.

Amcor, a global provider of packaging solutions, has commenced an expansion of its flexible packaging facility located in Dongguan, China. The project involves the construction of a new 7,000-square-meter manufacturing hall and an automated warehouse, increasing the total size of the existing campus to over 38,000 square meters.
The expansion is set to incorporate automated, solvent-free laminating machines and high-speed bag-making systems. These technological additions are intended to boost production capacity, improve operational efficiency, and support the development of recycle-ready packaging for consumer goods, including food, home, and personal care products.
The company stated that China represents a key growth market, and this investment in Dongguan will strengthen its manufacturing network in the Asia Pacific region. Amcor has operated in China for over three decades and currently maintains 23 manufacturing sites across the country.
Construction of the expanded facility is projected to be completed by July 2027, with a focus on sustainable and intelligent manufacturing principles.
