AMD expands FSR 4.1 upscaling support to older hardware and consoles
AMD is rolling out its FSR 4.1 upscaling technology to Xbox consoles, older Radeon GPUs, and handheld devices, expanding its reach across the gaming hardware market.

AMD has announced the expansion of its FSR 4.1 upscaling technology to a wider range of hardware. The rollout includes Xbox Series X and S consoles, handheld devices like the ROG Ally X, and specific mobile and desktop computing platforms. The update aims to increase frame rates and image quality across a library of over 300 compatible game titles.
Beginning immediately, support is available for users of Radeon RX 6000-series graphics cards. The update also extends to devices equipped with Ryzen AI Max 300 and 400 series processors, as well as the Ryzen AI 9 300 and 400 series lineups. This move fulfills a company pledge made earlier this year to bridge the technology gap between its newest hardware and legacy components.
This deployment follows the initial March launch of FSR 4.1 on Radeon RX 9000-series graphics cards. By broadening compatibility, AMD aims to standardize its performance-boosting software across both dedicated gaming hardware and general-purpose computing devices.
