AMD officially launched its new Ryzen AI Halo developer platform on October 12, based on the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. The updated platform features enhancements in CPU, GPU, and NPU performance compared to its predecessor.

A key advancement is the significantly increased memory capacity. The platform supports up to 192GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory, with up to 160GB available for shared graphics memory. This allows for the local execution of large-scale artificial intelligence models exceeding 300 billion parameters.

The Linux version of the AMD Ryzen AI Halo developer platform is priced at $7,299.99. A Windows version, pre-loaded with Microsoft's Project Zenith, will be available at a later date.

The release of this platform signifies AMD's continued investment in AI development, providing developers with enhanced capabilities for local AI model training and deployment.
