AMD Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 Processor Specifications Leaked
A leak has revealed details of AMD's upcoming Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 processor, featuring an 8-core CPU and a 16 Compute Unit GPU.
On October 19, leaked information surfaced regarding AMD's upcoming Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 processor. This model is expected to be based on the "Gorgon Point 1" chip.
The processor includes a 16 Compute Unit (CU) GPU, matching the full specification, but its CPU component has been reduced to 8 cores and 16 threads, down from 12 cores and 24 threads. This adjustment is likely aimed at lowering the cost for users seeking integrated graphics capabilities. The processor also features 24MB of L3 cache.
According to the leaks, a sibling model to the Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 is the handheld gaming console's Ryzen Z2 Extreme, which utilizes a CPU architecture comprising three Zen 5 cores and five Zen 5c cores.
Industry observers anticipate that these new AMD processors will engage in strong competition within the market, particularly as technology increasingly focuses on integrated AI functionalities for portable devices.
