AMEC aims for over 100 high-end semiconductor equipment types within five years
China's AMEC plans to expand its portfolio to over 100 types of high-end semiconductor equipment within five years. The company also aims to rank among the global top-tier manufacturers by 2035.

Chinese semiconductor equipment manufacturer AMEC has announced plans to broaden its product range to include more than 100 types of high-end equipment within the next five years. This expansion will be achieved through a combination of in-house development and potential external acquisitions.
The company stated that it has already developed 54 types of advanced semiconductor equipment, comprising 26 plasma etching tools and 24 thin-film processing tools. Its current offerings also include chemical-mechanical polishing and metrology equipment. AMEC claims its etching and thin-film equipment has achieved atomic-level processing precision.
Founder and chairman Yin Zhiyao outlined these goals during the company's 22nd-anniversary event on August 1. Yin indicated that AMEC's ambition is to be recognized among the world's first-tier semiconductor equipment companies by 2035, based on its scale, product competitiveness, and customer satisfaction.
