American Bancorp Completes Sale of New Republic Bank to Juno Bancorp
American Bancorp, Inc. announced the completion of its sale of New Republic Bank to Juno Bancorp Inc. on October 1, 2026. The transaction allows American Bancorp to focus on its fastest-growing markets.

American Bancorp, Inc., the parent company of American Pride Bank and New Republic Bank, has finalized the sale of New Republic Bank to Juno Bancorp Inc. The transaction, officially completed on October 1, 2026, signals a strategic move by American Bancorp to streamline its operations and concentrate on its most dynamic markets.
The Charlotte, North Carolina branch and its core clientele will remain with American Pride Bank. These customers have already been rebranded under the American Pride Bank name in July and continue to be served from their established location at 700 East Morehead Street with their familiar banking team.
American Bancorp had previously acquired New Republic Bank through a stock-for-stock merger finalized on November 7, 2025. This divestiture enables American Bancorp to focus its resources, while ensuring continuity for New Republic Bank's customers under Juno Bancorp's stewardship.
Following the sale, American Bancorp will operate as a single entity, American Pride Bank, with branches across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. The company stated this consolidation aims to enhance its capacity to serve entrepreneurs throughout the Southeastern United States.
