American Binary has secured an independent attestation for its MaxKyber network protocol, the core of its Ambit Client enterprise VPN. The verification confirms the protocol's compliance with all CNSA 2.0 requirements, enhancing its defense against quantum computing threats.
WASHINGTON – American Binary, a company focused on deep-tech cybersecurity, has announced a third-party attestation for its MaxKyber network protocol. This protocol forms the basis of the company's Ambit Client enterprise VPN solution.
The attestation covers all 120 security properties of MaxKyber and confirms its adherence to the requirements of the Commercial National Security Algorithm Suite 2.0 (CNSA 2.0). The verification was conducted by Dr. Joe Kiniry and Dr. Tom Shrimpton, identified as industry experts with prior experience at institutions like Galois.
American Binary states that this verification distinguishes MaxKyber from traditional and hybrid solutions. The company emphasizes that MaxKyber offers long-term, full post-quantum security, avoiding the potential short-term compromises associated with hybrid approaches. This development represents a shift towards provable resilience over speculative security.
The company also noted that Whitfield Diffie, a pioneer in cryptography and co-inventor of the Diffie-Hellman key exchange, has joined its advisory board. He joins other notable cryptographic advisors such as Bruce Schneier and Brian LaMacchia.
Key features of MaxKyber highlighted in the announcement include protection against "harvest now, decrypt later" attacks, comprehensive symbolic verification of 120 security properties, and architectural stability rooted in proven design patterns.
