American Digital Education Launches $1 Million Grant Program for California K-12 Schools

Clovis, Calif. – American Digital Education (ADE) announced a $1 million grant program designed for California K-12 schools. The program will award grants ranging from $10,000 to $200,000 to California public school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools. These funds are intended to support the implementation of ADE's technology in classrooms, covering student access, teacher training, and ongoing support.

The grants will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until the allocated funds are committed. This initiative addresses the significant challenge of chronic absenteeism in California, which stood at 19.4 percent in the 2024-25 school year, a rate substantially higher than pre-pandemic levels. ADE's platform includes features designed to help recover lost instructional time and maintain academic continuity for students.

Derek Abbring, founder and CEO of American Digital Education, highlighted the platform's focus on immediate remediation. "ADE reteaches the moment a student misses," Abbring stated. "This grant lets districts see what that looks like with their own students and their own data."

ADE is described as a K-12 instructional platform, not a chatbot or AI tutor. It is built on expert-developed pedagogy and over 80 brain-researched learning science approaches, utilizing deterministic AI to identify foundational skill gaps and recommend lessons in five core subjects. Eligible applicants are California public school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools that are not current ADE customers. Grants are valid for 12 months and require a matching contribution from the recipient.
