American Express Named Title Sponsor of Inaugural Hong Kong Sail Grand Prix

American Express has been announced as the title sponsor for the first-ever American Express Hong Kong Sail Grand Prix, set to take place on January 23-24, 2027. This partnership brings the elite sailing competition to Hong Kong, a significant lifestyle and entertainment hub in Asia.

The event will serve as the opening race of the 2027 Rolex SailGP Championship season. American Express cardmembers will receive priority access to ticket sales and exclusive savings for the event, with general ticket sales opening on October 27, 2026.

Set against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour, the Grand Prix will feature high-speed racing as identical F50 foiling catamarans compete close to shore. The event is designated as an "M" Mark event, supporting Hong Kong's ambition to be the sports capital of Asia.

SailGP CEO and co-founder Sir Russell Coutts highlighted Hong Kong's importance as a venue and American Express's suitability as a partner. Walter Liu, Head of Asia Region at American Express, stated the collaboration will provide cardmembers with privileged access and exclusive benefits to a world-class sporting event.
