American Tinnitus Association Makes Largest Research Investment in Its History
The American Tinnitus Association (ATA) has announced its largest-ever research investment, the launch of a national provider education platform, and new senior scientific leadership.

VIENNA, Va. – The American Tinnitus Association (ATA) is entering a new chapter of its 55-year history, focusing on advancing tinnitus research and patient care.
The organization announced its largest research investment to date, the launch of an online professional education platform, new senior scientific leadership, and an expansion of its board of directors. ATA is investing more in research than ever before, building infrastructure to increase access to skilled healthcare providers nationwide, and recruiting key individuals to drive its mission forward.
Through ATA's 2026 Innovative Tinnitus Research Grants and Fellowship Program, over $655,000 has been awarded to five investigators across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. This marks the largest single-year research investment in the organization's history, with the program now covering the full research pipeline from foundational discovery to clinical translation for the first time.
Additionally, ATA is launching ATA Academy, an online professional education platform offering evidence-based training, clinical tools, and continuing education resources for audiologists, physicians, and other providers. Dr. Hannah Glick has been appointed as the new vice president of Tinnitus Programming, bringing over a decade of experience in the field.
Tinnitus affects more than 50 million Americans, yet the U.S. healthcare system is largely unprepared to assist. The goal is to transform an ecosystem where few providers understand tinnitus into one where every healthcare professional knows that expert help, evidence-based treatments, and a path to relief are available for patients.
