The American Water Charitable Foundation will participate in The Women Who Lead Forum in New York on October 13, 2026. Foundation President Carrie Williams will speak on disaster response.

CAMDEN, N.J. – The American Water Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of American Water, the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., will be represented at The Women Who Lead Forum on October 13, 2026, in New York City.
The event, hosted by the American Red Cross, is an invite-only gathering for influential women leaders to discuss their impact on business, philanthropy, and communities. The forum aims to explore how female leaders leverage their expertise and resources to create significant change.
Carrie Williams, President of the American Water Charitable Foundation, is scheduled to participate in a session titled "Innovation Shaping the Future of Disaster Response." The discussion will focus on how strategic philanthropy and cross-sector partnerships are influencing the future of disaster preparedness and response. Williams is expected to share the Foundation's perspective on disaster philanthropy and community investment.
The Foundation has a longstanding partnership with the American Red Cross through its Disaster Responder Program. Williams will highlight the impact of this collaboration on both American Water and the communities it serves. Since 2012, the Foundation has provided over $25 million in grants and matching gifts to support organizations in communities served by American Water, with no impact on customer rates.
