American Water Named One of Best Companies to Work For

American Water, the largest regulated water and wastewater utility in the United States, has been named one of the Best Companies to Work For in the 2026-2027 rankings by U.S. News & World Report. The recognition highlights the company's performance across six key metrics important to employee well-being.

The rankings considered factors such as quality of pay and benefits, work-life balance and flexibility, job and company stability, physical and psychological comfort, belonging and esteem, and career opportunities and professional development. These metrics are used to assess companies' environments from an employee perspective.
