America’s Adopt A Soldier launches campaign for 300,000 veteran thank-you letters
Nonprofit organization America’s Adopt A Soldier is soliciting 300,000 handwritten letters for active-duty military and veterans ahead of the holiday season.

America’s Adopt A Soldier has announced its 2026 National Care Letter Campaign, seeking to distribute 300,000 messages of support to deployed service members and veterans in care facilities. The organization aims to increase its annual output by 100,000 units compared to previous years.
Founder Mary Keeser stated that the influx of mail is intended to provide at least four messages to each recipient in veterans' hospitals and homes. The initiative invites participation from schools, faith-based groups, and corporate entities to create handmade cards, drawings, or letters.
The organization will continue to accept contributions through December 31, 2026. Items should be mailed to their Springfield, Virginia, headquarters for processing and distribution.
