Online poker platform Americas Cardroom has announced its October "Dual Venom PKO" tournaments, offering a combined guaranteed prize pool of $6.5 million. The series includes a $5 million guaranteed No-Limit Hold'em event and a $1.5 million guaranteed Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) event, the latter matching the company's largest PLO PKO guarantee to date.
Both tournaments are scheduled to commence on Sunday, October 4, and will utilize the progressive knockout format. In this format, half of an eliminated player's bounty is awarded to the player who scores the knockout, while the other half increases the eliminator's own bounty, potentially leading to significant payouts per elimination.
The company is also running "Venom Fever" promotions from late September through mid-October, offering numerous satellite tournaments and qualifying paths, including options starting at very low buy-ins, to enable more players to enter the main events.
Last year's "Dual Venom PKO" tournaments generated a combined prize pool exceeding $7.8 million, with individual winners earning substantial amounts from both regular prize money and accumulated bounties.
