AmeriHealth Caritas Adopts HealthSherpa Solution for Enrollment and Billing

AmeriHealth Caritas has gone live with HealthSherpa's Marketplace Operations solution, expanding their existing partnership to include the processing of enrollments, premium billing, and reconciliation for individual and family health plans. The move is intended to enhance data integrity and financial transparency within its Affordable Care Act (ACA) offerings.

The new system will allow AmeriHealth Caritas to process and reconcile enrollments with the Health Insurance Marketplace, collect member premiums, and address discrepancies before they impact member bills or coverage. This expands the collaboration beyond initial enrollment and shopping to cover ongoing operational processes.

HealthSherpa, which has a long-standing relationship with AmeriHealth Caritas for streamlining enrollment and agent distribution, is now providing its end-to-end enrollment lifecycle solutions. The company states the system is built on years of experience navigating the complexities of the individual and family health plan market.

This expanded role for HealthSherpa is expected to strengthen the back-end operations supporting AmeriHealth Caritas' marketplace business, enabling the company to focus further on network strategy, claims processing, and quality of care initiatives.
