ORANGE, Calif. – During September, designated as Rail Safety Month, Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner service is enhancing its collaboration with California Operation Lifesaver to disseminate crucial safety information to riders using bicycles, e-bikes, and scooters. These modes of transport are increasingly popular for accessing train stations and commuting throughout Southern California.
The initiative employs community art and local outreach to educate the public about the dangers of unsafe behavior near railroad tracks. Safety tips are also being shared through information hubs and social media platforms, aiming to prevent hazardous situations and accidents.
