AmWorld Acquires Crossflight Group to Expand Logistics Services
Foresight Group portfolio company AmWorld has acquired Crossflight Group. The deal expands AmWorld's service offerings and geographic reach.
AmWorld, a portfolio company of Foresight Group, has acquired Crossflight Group to enhance its logistics and courier services. AmWorld, which provides outsourced courier solutions, aims to strengthen its market position through this acquisition.
Crossflight Group offers specialist logistics and fulfillment services. The acquisition adds new operational sites for AmWorld in Birmingham and Swindon, United Kingdom, as well as in mainland Europe, significantly broadening its geographical footprint. Both companies are headquartered in Colnbrook, UK.
Foresight Group initially backed AmWorld in July 2023 with a strategy for combined organic and inorganic growth. The Crossflight acquisition marks AmWorld's first acquisition since Foresight's investment and is expected to deliver a substantial increase in scale and service capabilities.
The integration is based on strong cultural and operational alignment, with both businesses sharing a reputation for dependable execution and customer partnerships. David Miles, Director at Foresight, stated that the acquisition represents a significant step-change in AmWorld's scale and service offering. AmWorld CEO Ian Bolton added that the deal strengthens existing capabilities.
