Analogue Re-releases SNES and Genesis Consoles with Upgrades

Analogue has revealed new iterations of its Super Nt and Mega Sg retro gaming consoles. The upcoming models, dubbed Super Nt Plus and Mega Sg Plus, will feature a "reworked industrial design" and incorporate built-in wireless connectivity for controllers and accessories.

Similar to their predecessors, the Plus versions utilize an FPGA processor to play original Nintendo and Sega Genesis cartridges. This technology meticulously recreates the original console hardware functionality without relying on emulation.

While these new consoles will not support 4K output for SNES or Genesis games, unlike the Analogue 3D's capability with Nintendo 64 titles, the 1080p-capable Super Nt Plus and Mega Sg Plus will include a USB-C port.

The company has not yet disclosed specific release dates or pricing for the updated consoles. Analogue has established a reputation for creating high-fidelity retro gaming hardware that provides an authentic experience for classic titles.
