Anamanaguchi has 'too goddamn many' browser tabs open right now

Chiptune band Anamanaguchi, composed of Peter Berkman, James DeVito, Luke Silas, and Ary Warnaar, has announced their upcoming album "Anyway," set for release in 2025. The album signifies a departure from the band's signature chiptune sound, featuring a more indie rock-oriented approach recorded in person.

The group is known for their contributions to video game soundtracks, including "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game," and their collaboration with virtual artist Hatsune Miku. Their discography has previously spanned breakneck chiptune beats and danceable pop songs.

"Anyway" was recorded at the American Football house and incorporates fuzzy guitars, moving away from their typically digital and often remote production methods. This marks a significant shift in their creative process.

The band members maintain a strong online presence and connection to the video game world. While "Anyway" reflects this digital identity, it also explores new musical territories for Anamanaguchi.
