Andreas Gabalier Awarded Golden Chamois by Kitzbühel Tourism

Kitzbühel Tourism has honored musician Andreas Gabalier with the Golden Chamois award, acknowledging his significant role as an ambassador for the town. The award was presented on Saturday, August 22, 2026, during the traditional fan reception in Kitzbühel's town center, in front of thousands of fans.

Dr. Christian Harisch, chairman of Kitzbühel Tourism, presented the musician with the handcrafted Golden Chamois, made by local family company Schroll. Gabalier described the moment as highly emotional, admitting to shedding tears upon receiving the award. The ceremony was part of his annual visit to Kitzbühel.

Gabalier's connection to Kitzbühel extends beyond his concerts. He visits the town multiple times a year, cherishing personal memories and friendships formed there. The musician has referred to Kitzbühel as "a second home" and stated the award will hold a special place in his study.

Since 2012, Gabalier has been a fixture in Kitzbühel's summer event calendar. His concerts at the Kitzbühel Tennis Stadium are consistently sold out, drawing thousands of fans and are considered a summer highlight. He is scheduled to perform his only open-air concert of the year there in 2027.
