Android 17 QPR2 Beta 6.1 brings HiLight update to Pixel 11 Pro
Google has released Android 17 QPR2 Beta 6.1 for the Pixel 11 series. The update enhances the HiLight feature on the Pixel 11 Pro but does not list significant bug fixes.

Google has issued a new beta release for Android 17, version QPR2 Beta 6.1. This update is available for Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL, and 11 Pro Fold models with build number CP41.260831.011. Other compatible Pixel devices will receive build number CP41.260831.007.A3.
Unlike the previous Beta 6 update which addressed numerous bugs, Google has not listed any specific bug fixes for this release. However, users with the Pixel 11 Pro Fold may need to re-register their facial recognition data after applying the update.
The most notable new feature is an enhancement to the HiLight function on the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL. This rear-facing LED light, previously limited to activating for Gemini interactions or calls from favorite contacts when the phone was face down, will now support message notifications. Reports indicate it will flash twice for new messages from favorite contacts within Google Messages and potentially WhatsApp.
The update is available for all Pixel devices from the Pixel 6a onwards, including Pixel Foldables and the Pixel Tablet, as well as the Android emulator. Interested users can install the QPR beta via OTA update after enrolling their devices in the Android Beta program. The stable Android 17 QPR1 was released as a Pixel Drop in mid-September.
