Android Central to Continue Publishing After Staff Layoffs

Android Central, a blog dedicated to the Android operating system, has undergone significant staff reductions, laying off its entire team yesterday. However, Future, the parent company, has confirmed to The Verge that the website will continue its operations.

Four of the six staffers previously listed on Android Central's staff page publicly announced their departures. These included Shruti Shekar, Derrek Lee, Harish Jonnalagadda, and Nicholas Sutrich. Managing editor Derrek Lee and writer Nicholas Sutrich confirmed that all remaining staff were laid off.

Former employees stated they were not informed about the future of the website following the layoffs. Future has not provided specific details regarding the reasons for the staff reduction or the extent of future content creation, but has affirmed that publishing will persist.
