Anduril and Qualcomm announce partnership for US-manufactured laptops
Defense technology firm Anduril and chipmaker Qualcomm plan to release the BlueChip laptop line in 2027, focusing on domestic assembly for military use.

Anduril, a defense contractor, and chipmaker Qualcomm have announced a collaboration to produce a line of laptops under the name BlueChip. Scheduled for a 2027 launch, the initiative aims to establish a domestic supply chain for computing hardware, specifically targeting the United States military.
The initial hardware prototypes will utilize Qualcomm’s Arm-based Snapdragon X series processors. While the long-term objective is to achieve full domestic manufacturing, the company stated that the first devices will be designed and assembled at Anduril’s Arsenal-1 production site in Ohio, acknowledging the complexities of the current global electronics supply chain.
The partnership marks a shift for Anduril, which has primarily focused on autonomous systems and defense software, into the hardware computing sector. By localizing assembly, the firms seek to address security concerns regarding the international components common in current defense-grade technology.
