Andy Rieger of J. Rieger & Co. Elected to American Craft Spirits Association Board

Andy Rieger, President and Co-Founder of J. Rieger & Co., has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA), the national trade association representing U.S. craft distilleries. Rieger brings advocacy and legislative policy experience to the board.

Rieger's election occurs as the craft spirits industry faces economic pressures and advocates for supportive legislation. He is recognized as one of the youngest presidents of a nationally recognized American craft distillery, having led J. Rieger & Co. from its revival to an internationally recognized brand within a decade. As the sole board member representing Kansas and Missouri, Rieger will influence national policy aimed at strengthening the independent distillery sector.

The appointment coincides with legislative efforts like The SPIRIT Act, which proposes a Federal Excise Tax (FET) credit for qualifying small distillers using domestically grown agricultural ingredients. This initiative seeks to support rural economies, American manufacturing, and independent producers.

Under Rieger's leadership, J. Rieger & Co. has become a respected craft distillery. The company has restored a historic building in Kansas City into a destination distillery and expanded its brand's presence across the United States and internationally.
