Angel Aligner Renames Torque Features to "Pressure Points" in Europe
Angelalign Technology Inc. introduces its "Pressure Points" feature in Europe, replacing previous "Torque Ridges" for enhanced torque control in clear aligners.

Angelalign Technology Inc. (6699.HK), a global provider of clear orthodontic aligner technology, has launched its "Pressure Points" feature in the European market. This enhanced feature replaces the company's previous "Torque Ridges" and aims to improve torque control and clinical predictability for orthodontists.
The "Pressure Points" feature is the result of ongoing research focused on refining the effectiveness of aligner therapy. It is designed to provide more precise force application and greater contact with the tooth surface compared to earlier methods that relied on manual indentations.
According to the company, the new feature offers predictable force application, with a simplified shape that allows force to be applied at or near the center of the pressure point. A higher tooth surface contact, up to 25% more in certain configurations, is intended to provide better control over tooth movement.
Angelalign Technology, established in 2003 and publicly traded since 2021, serves dental professionals and patients in over 60 countries. The company reports having treated over two million cases and has a market capitalization of approximately $2 billion USD.
