Angel Aligner Replaces Torque Ridges with Pressure Points in Europe

Angelalign Technology Inc. has launched "Pressure Points" in the European market, replacing its previous "Torque Ridges" feature. This development is intended to enhance torque control within orthodontic clear aligner treatments.

The new "Pressure Points" feature is the result of ongoing research focused on improving clinical predictability and efficacy. Initially, it will be applied to single-point torque corrections, with plans to expand its use to rotational and intrusive movements.

Unlike the former "Torque Ridges" that utilized indentations to apply force for torque and rotation correction, "Pressure Points" aims to provide more predictable force application. The company states that the feature offers a 25% larger tooth contact area, enhancing control over tooth movement.

Angel Aligner, founded in 2003 and publicly traded since 2021, provides clear aligner solutions to over 60 countries, having treated more than two million cases. The company indicates that "Pressure Points" offers increased digital precision and scalability compared to previous methods and plans further innovations based on clinical feedback.
