Angel Aligner upgrades torque features to 'Pressure Points' in Europe

Angelalign Technology Inc. announced the European market launch of 'Pressure Points,' a new feature designed to improve torque control in orthodontic clear aligners. This upgrade replaces the company's prior 'Torque Ridges' and is part of Angel's ongoing effort to provide solutions for clinical challenges faced by orthodontists.

The 'Pressure Points' feature is the result of research focused on enhancing clinical predictability and effectiveness. Initially available for torque corrections in a single configuration, the feature is expected to be expanded to address rotation and intrusion. The system utilizes high trimline options to cover the entire tooth surface and up to 2mm of the gingiva, facilitating more effective torque expression.

Building upon previous methods that involved hand-made indentations for targeted force application, 'Pressure Points' has been engineered for more predictable force delivery. Its design allows force to be applied closer to the center of the pressure point, increasing tooth surface contact by 25% in a single pressure point configuration, which enhances control over tooth movement when used with scalloped trimlines.

This new feature offers increased digital accuracy and scalability compared to manual methods. 'Pressure Points' is now accessible to orthodontists in Europe, with plans for global distribution. Angelalign Technology Inc., established in 2003 and publicly listed since 2021, supplies clear aligner solutions to professionals and patients in over 60 countries.
