Anker Launches Refurbished Product Sales Channel in China
Technology company Anker has launched a new official refurbished goods store on JD.com in China. The store sells returned products that have been inspected and certified, offering them at discounted prices with official warranty.

Chinese technology firm Anker has established a new official sales channel for its refurbished products on the JD.com e-commerce platform in China. The newly opened "ANKER Anker Official Refurbished Flagship Store" provides consumers with an opportunity to purchase the company's portable power banks and chargers at reduced prices. These items are previously returned goods that have undergone professional inspection and refurbishment processes.
Products available through this channel include those returned by customers within the standard seven-day return period. Anker asserts that each product is thoroughly inspected and repackaged to meet "near new" standards. The company also provides an official warranty and after-sales support, aiming to assure customers of the reliability of these refurbished electronics.
Pricing for refurbished items is significantly lower than for new ones. For instance, the 25,000mAh Zolo 165W portable power bank, priced at 499 yuan new, is offered in refurbished conditions at 375 yuan for a 95% new rating and 299 yuan for a 90% new rating. Similarly, the 140W Zolo charger, which retails for 289 yuan new, is available refurbished for 186 yuan (95% new) and 142 yuan (90% new).
Anker's move aligns with broader industry trends towards sustainability and the circular economy. By offering refurbished products, the company can reduce waste and cater to a price-sensitive market segment looking for quality electronics at a lower cost.
