Anker robot lawnmower adds edge trimming capability

Anker's Eufy Robot Lawn Mower S2 Max is equipped with an extendable trimming arm, designed to maintain grass edges along driveways and flowerbeds. This new feature aims to reduce the need for separate trimming tools.

The mower utilizes vSLAM navigation, employing built-in cameras to create a 3D map of the yard. This system negates the requirement for boundary wires or a Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) base station, simplifying installation. Anker states the S2 Max can map and mow up to 1.5 acres and handle slopes up to 38 degrees (80 percent).

The all-wheel-drive robot mower is scheduled for a May 2027 release at a price of €3,999. Details regarding US pricing and availability have not yet been announced. The product was showcased at IFA 2026.

This technological integration offers consumers a more comprehensive automated lawn care solution, combining mowing and edge maintenance into a single device.
