Ant International, Visa, Mastercard Develop AI Payments Agent Identification Framework
Ant International, Visa, and Mastercard have begun developing an interoperability framework for AI-driven payments, known as Know-Your-Agent (KYA). The framework aims to identify and onboard trusted AI agents across different payment ecosystems.

Ant International, Visa, and Mastercard are collaborating to develop a new framework for identifying artificial intelligence agents involved in AI-driven payments. The initiative, named Know-Your-Agent (KYA), seeks to establish a standardized method for verifying AI entities within payment systems.
The framework is designed to assist card networks, digital wallets, agent platforms, and online marketplaces in identifying and onboarding AI agents. A key objective is to maintain the integrity of each network's existing verification and risk-control processes while enabling cross-ecosystem interoperability for AI agents.
According to the companies involved, the KYA framework will emphasize operator traceability, shared certification requirements, and continuous transaction monitoring. This development is being undertaken through Singapore's BuildFin.ai platform, an initiative convened by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
This collaboration addresses the growing need for standardized security and verification measures as AI becomes more integrated into financial transactions and payment processing.
