Antares Ventures Raises Over $50 Million for Investments

Singapore-based deep-tech venture capital firm Antares Ventures announced on October 14 that it secured over $50 million in commitments for Antares Ventures I at its second close. The firm is targeting a final fund size of $100 million.

Antares stated that the fund's backers include family offices, as well as corporate and strategic investors from Southeast Asia, Japan, and Korea. The firm added that it will continue fundraising while deploying capital selectively.

The fund has invested approximately $27 million across nine companies to date. These include Singapore's VFlowTech, the UK's IONATE, Germany's enaDyne, and India's The ePlane Company.

This comes amid broader efforts in Singapore to bolster the deep-tech sector. The Singapore Economic Development Board has announced an additional S$440 million (US$344 million) for partnerships with global venture capital firms. Additionally, the National University of Singapore launched a S$150 million (US$117 million) venture capital program for deep-tech startups.
