Anthropic Claude suffers major service outage, multiple services inaccessible

AI company Anthropic has reported a major service disruption impacting its Claude.ai platform and several other services. The issues began around 5:58 AM Beijing time on Tuesday, preventing users from logging in and accessing services like Claude Code and Claude Cowork.

The outage, the cause of which is still under investigation, has resulted in many users being unable to log into the platform, load Claude pages, or complete requests. Anthropic has marked Claude.ai, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork as experiencing a "Major Outage" on its status page.

While consumer-facing services are affected, Anthropic's Claude Console and Claude API are reportedly functioning normally at this time. The company is continuing to investigate the root cause of the disruption and has not yet provided further details.

The outage significantly impacts Anthropic's user base, which relies on its AI services for various applications, including coding and collaborative tasks.
