Anthropic discloses financial performance ahead of public offering
AI firm Anthropic reports $16.3 billion in revenue for the first half of 2026, supported by $112 billion in cash reserves.
Anthropic has released S-1 filing documentation revealing significant fiscal growth six years after its founding. The company generated $16.3 billion in revenue during the first half of 2026 and projects an annual recurring revenue of $100 billion.
David Sacks, chair of the White House President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, noted that the company's capital efficiency stands out within the AI sector. With $112 billion currently in cash, Anthropic has effectively pre-funded its projected compute expenses and infrastructure investments.
While some market analysts have expressed concerns over the high level of capital expenditure required for AI development, Sacks suggests that the company’s current liquidity provides a buffer that improves its pricing power. By reducing the reliance on massive future funding rounds, Anthropic aims to maintain more favorable control over its equity structure during its market debut.
