14 October 2026

Artificial intelligence company Anthropic PBC reported third-quarter revenue of $16.8 billion and achieved adjusted profitability, according to sources familiar with the matter cited by Bloomberg. The company is continuing to pursue plans for an initial public offering (IPO).

At a presentation held at its San Francisco headquarters, Anthropic shared that it had achieved positive free cash flow by the end of the third quarter. The company also reported an adjusted gross margin of 85% and an adjusted operating margin exceeding 11%.

Anthropic has indicated plans to begin its IPO roadshow as early as the week of November 9, aiming for a listing before Thanksgiving and completion by year-end. The offering is anticipated to be substantial, potentially surpassing SpaceX's IPO.

The company faces competition from players like OpenAI and Meta, which recently launched its own AI model. Heightened scrutiny over AI safety and potential misuse could also impact Anthropic's IPO. Investor response to the latest financial figures is expected to be critical to the listing's success.
