Anthropic: We are not seeking to compete with startups

AI research lab Anthropic is not looking to compete with European AI startups, said Maya Dharampal-Hornby, head of startup relations for EMEA, at an event in London. Approximately 250 startup founders and investors attended the event.
Dharampal-Hornby stated that Anthropic aims to support and collaborate with startups, rather than seeking to displace them from the market. She emphasized that Anthropic's research and development focuses on creating foundational infrastructure, freeing up smaller companies to concentrate on their own specialized areas.
The event broadly discussed the challenges and opportunities within the AI sector, particularly in relation to the dynamics between major tech giants and growing startups.
