The government of Antigua and Barbuda has taken delivery of 20 Zeekr 7X electric vehicles from Geely Motors to serve as official transport during the 2026 Commonwealth summit.

The government of Antigua and Barbuda has officially received 20 Zeekr 7X electric vehicles from Geely Motors. The fleet was delivered to Camp Blizzard on November 2, 2026, and is designated for use by government delegations during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) scheduled for 2026.
The acquisition was facilitated through a sponsorship agreement coordinated by the Embassy of Antigua and Barbuda in the United Arab Emirates and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China. Foreign Minister E.P. Chet Greene noted that the fleet aligns with a mandate to implement sustainable transport solutions for the upcoming international summit.
Representatives from Geely Motors and Chinese diplomatic officials expressed interest in the long-term impact of the initiative on local vehicle market trends. The government expects the deployment of these electric units to serve as a benchmark for its broader commitment to low-emission transport infrastructure.
