Anycubic Opens Presale for Large-Format Photon P1 Max Resin 3D Printer

Shenzhen-based 3D printer manufacturer Anycubic announced the presale of its Photon P1 Max large-format resin 3D printer on July 22. The printer is designed for advanced users, studios, and small-batch production, with presale pricing starting at $849.

The Photon P1 Max features an 18.3-liter build volume, allowing for the printing of large prototypes or multiple parts in a single job. It is equipped with a 14-inch 12K monochrome LCD screen for detailed output and a light uniformity system ensuring over 92% consistency across the build area. The printer utilizes a precision-ground steel build plate and a rigid screen mounting structure for enhanced stability.

For long print jobs, the machine incorporates a C7-grade ball screw and linear guide rails, along with a LighTurbo 4.0 light engine. This combination aims to maintain stable motion and consistent light output, with a stated repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.01 mm. The new Wave Release Technology is designed to reduce the release force from the film by over 60% compared to standard NFEP films, facilitating easier separation of large prints.

The device includes factory calibration and an Intelligent Leveling System 3.0 that verifies bed leveling before each print. Features like Dynamic Release 3.0 and Dynamic Light-Off Compensation 3.0 automatically adjust printing parameters based on real-time force feedback and resin flow conditions. An integrated AI inspection system monitors elements such as build plate installation and resin levels.

The Photon P1 Max supports resins with viscosities up to 8000 cps. It includes a 1,900 ml, temperature-controlled resin vat that maintains resin temperatures up to 35°C, intended to ensure consistent material performance during extended print runs. The presale period extends through August with tiered pricing.
